Project Scope

Project scope provides a first order outline describing the goal, a product or a set of deliverables, as well as a bounding collection of resource requirements. The scope of the project is initially outlined by an enabler, typically OVium, through contact with stakeholders and potential customers for each deliverable. Ultimately the deployment and maintenance of a deliverable product is the goal of the project effort. Scope analysis and communication with stakeholders and customers itemizes a top-line set of requirements for the project to estimate resources and a series of deliverables. The scope establishes a foundation environment to provision resources and communication infrastructure to support the project life-cycle. Policies and procedures establish requisite first order boundaries for the project scope.
